+We’ve said it time and time again — watches and cars belong together!
As with watches, when owning the watch just isn’t quite enough to scratch the itch, and the likes of books, collateral, vintage ads and other ephemera related to that piece add context and color into a collection, cars have the very same relationship with objects adjacent to their respective brand or era, and collecting automobilia is an incredibly satisfying way to increase enjoyment of the hobby.
This vintage find is for the Ferrari enthusiasts in the house - an incredibly well preserved 1980s leather key fob by Schedoni. Presented in Cuoio Naturale colored leather, it features a metal ring attachment and an embedded enamel Ferrari badge. The logo here is Ferrari's 1947 redesign, identifiable by its strong corners and wider Tri-Colore stripe. The lettering is more refined with taller characters than earlier versions, and the iconic black stallion features thicker silver outline.
This logo has largely remained consistent through today. With a profile measuring approximately 2 3/4” x 1 1/4”, this stunning key fob will certainly do the trick to spruce up any key that belongs to a vintage or modern sports car from Maranello!
